The Glebe Street Fair is on again from 10 am on Sunday 20st November, 2011 with the theme of the Beat. This year’s fair will be focused on the beat of the community looking a different dance styles that are synonymous with the village, music with a beat and street entertainment exploring different interpretations of the beat.
“Each year we try to bring a different feel to the fair to provide families with a fun and entertaining day out.” Glebe Street Fair Coordinator, Juliet Scrine said. This year we went with the theme of the beat as it opens the fair up for a diverse interpretation of what the beat means to people. The heart beat of a community providing access for all areas of the Glebe and surrounds to celebrate what it means to live in Glebe while also showcasing an amazing array of food, crafts and unique products from all over Australia”
“This year the fair will run till 7 pm providing visitors with plenty of opportunities to try the foods from local restaurants and stallholders. The school yard will be opened up for a children’s stage, face painting and craft activities, food stallholders and local artists with Foleys Park being used as a chill out zone with relaxation therapies and healthy lifestyle solutions on display
Glebe Point Road will be closed to traffic from Broadway to Bridge Road from 2 am on 21 November until 11 pm.
