Jazz at the Library in 2009 was a fantastic line up of local musicians enjoying the afternoon music sessions in Glebe Library park. We got some young local talent -'Gypsy's of Pangea', three young men (under the age of 16) who won Battle of the Bands, came and gave us some New Age funk, with the yougest, Seb, playing didgeridoo, piano and singing. Definately one multi-talented muso!
Local Honky Tonk Jazz musician Bridie King and the Boogie Queens were sublime, with wonderful renditions of some old New Orlean numbers that got the crowd up dancing.
The last band was local artist and Jazz Muso Barry Canham and the Quartet. Entertaining and delightful they went on to play at the opening night of the Glebe Art Show.
About 100 people attended the three Saturday afternoons. |
